An egalitarian Conservative congregation serving the diverse Orange County Jewish Community

The goal of our youth program is to create the Jewish leaders of tomorrow by teaching our children the values of our heritage, and by providing a safe place to grow, surrounded by experienced and loving staff. Check out the USY website by clicking on www.cbiusy.com.

USY wins Chapter of Excellence Award

Our youth groups, Machar, Kadima, and USY, (for children and teens in grades K-3, 4-6, and 7-12 respectively) provide leadership, social action, religious and social programs. Our Kadima and USY groups participate in Regional activities, with Far West USY. One of the largest and strongest programs in the region, our USY has won many awards for unique programming and leadership. We are the only congregation in our region to have a Machar program and a Madrachim (counselor) program to help staff it.

Camp B’nai Ruach Color Wars

Our summer day camp, Camp B’nai Ruach, offers a safe and loving, Jewish experience for all of our youth. Children entering grades K-5 are campers, 6-8 are CITs, 9th graders are Madrichim, and 10-12 are counselors. We often bring back our prior campers who are in college to work as counselors as well, keeping much of the staffing within our CBI family.
