Rabbi Ben Goldstein is leading CBI from September 2021 through June 2022 as our Transition Rabbi and guiding us in our search for a permanent Head Rabbi.
He has worked as a rabbi for over a decade. Most recently he served as the Senior Rabbi of Beit T’Shuvah, a Jewish residential treatment facility in Los Angeles. He began his career as the spiritual leader of Temple Beth El Mekor Chaim in Cranford, New Jersey.
Inspired by the rabbinic teaching “it is not upon you to finish the work, but neither are you free to ignore the work,” Rabbi Goldstein believes that we are never finished growing. Throughout his career, Rabbi Goldstein has seen himself as an advocate for the soul, blending Jewish wisdom with psychology and mindfulness.
Rabbi Goldstein lives in Los Angeles with his fiancée Maureen and their six children (yes, that’s not a typo, they have six kids) and their dog, Yaffa. In his (hypothetical) free time he enjoys sports, meditation, theater, and golf.
