A letter from the Immediate Past President of the Board of Directors

Dear Friends:

On behalf of our congregation, I would like to thank you for your interest in Congregation B'nai Israel. We are a vibrant, egalitarian Conservative Jewish congregation of nearly 500 families offering you spiritual, educational and social connections to Judaism. We strive to provide lifelong learning opportunities within our excellent preschool, religious school, Hebrew high, and adult education courses.

Our members share a commitment to creating programs that enhance our entire community and make it possible for us to live lives based upon Jewish values. Many members of Congregation B'nai Israel have come from backgrounds in the Reform or Orthodox movements to find a comfortable home with us. We strive to make Congregation B'nai Israel a place that is useful and enriching for members of all ages.

As a member of Congregation B'nai Israel, you can engage your spirit and intellect through our wide range of religious, social and educational activities. We offer religious services every Friday night and Saturday morning, and on all Jewish holidays. Other opportunities to establish connections with members include our Havurah program and our weekly Shabbat lunch and social hour.

Membership in Congregation B'nai Israel confers many benefits, including High Holiday tickets and the services of our Rabbi or Cantor for life cycle events. Our educational program is tailored for members of all ages in Sunday and Hebrew school, Hebrew High School and Adult Education classes. Our many committees offer the opportunity for involvement, commitment and a sense of community spirit.

If you have questions, please e-mail me. I look forward to welcoming you as a new member.

B'shalom, Michael Vishny
