Exodus:  History, Story & Memory
In Spring 2001, Rabbi David Wolpe raised a storm of national controversy when he claimed that the Exodus may never have really happened.  What do we, as Conservative Jews, believe about the nature of our most precious stories— are they fiction, non-fiction, or something entirely different?

Saturday, March 20 at 4:00PM in the Bet Midrash
This is a monthly Seudah Sh’lishit (Third Meal) and Learning program with Rabbinic Intern, Adam Greenwald. We will meet on Shabbat afternoon, once a month to learn together, while sharing a light meal and a USY-style Havdalah. Our discussions will aim to bridge the gap between the ancient world of the Talmud and the challenges and values of today. All teens are welcome!  Please come and attend as many programs as you can.

How Shabbat Can Save Your Life and How Shabbat Can Save the World
Drawing from the writings of Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, one of the great religious voices of the 20th century, we will explore the ways in which a conscious, meaningful, and rich Shabbat practice can play a transformative role in our lives and communities. In addition to discussing the spiritual and intellectual dimensions of Shabbat, we will add a practical component and discuss ways of developing a personal Shabbat practice that works for you and your family.  This class should be stimulating and welcoming for all, regardless of your present Shabbat observance.
