Rabbi Gold will present a section of the Israeli Declaration of Independence which was inspired by the words of the prophets, and discuss how it relates to modern day Israel and its challenges in the realm of human and civil rights, including religious pluralism.

Rabbi Miri Gold was born in Detroit and grew up in Conservative synagogues. She made Aliyah in 1977 to Kibbutz Gezer, and is currently rabbi of Kehilat Birkat Shalom, a regional Reform synagogue based at Gezer. She is also a first cousin of Cantor Tilchin!
